❄️☃️ Afternoon Team SGS ☃️❄️I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas and New Year. What a magical end to the holidays with the snow that we all woke up to today. We would love to see photos of you having fun in the snow! Isaac and his Dad have been very busy at our gates - what fabulous new members of Team SGS! Thank you! The weather forecast for the rest of the day and overnight is rain so I am expecting that we will be open as normal and that most of the snow will have vanished! If anything changes, I will let you know. Enjoy the rest of Sunday and I look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. My plan for the rest of today is to keep warm indoors. Miss Bowden ... VICTORIA JUBILEE JUNIOR PARKRUN CANCELLATION NOTICE Unfortunately, our inaugural Junior parkrun event has been cancelled due to icy conditions still on the course route. With the temperatures continuing to drop, we are not expecting the course to get any better before tomorrow morning so would rather make the decision early. Whilst we are very disappointed given the time and effort over the last year to get a start date, the safety of juniors, volunteers and anybody else present on the day is of the highest importance to us. We now look forward to next Sunday (12th) which will now be our inaugural event, as long as the weather starts to play nice! We hope to see you all there next SundayMatthewVictoria Jubilee Junior parkrun Event Director ... See MoreSee Less

Today, we had an extra special visitor from the North Pole…. Santa! Our Friends of Springmoor wrote a special letter at the beginning of December and asked Santa if he’d pop in and see the children. Whilst he was visiting, he helped to give out a small gift from the Friends. It was a magical occasion which everyone enjoyed. There are more photos for you all to view on SeeSaw. We are over the moon to announce that, through your support and donations, the Friends of Springmoor have raised an AMAZING £1965! This will all go towards creating opportunities, experiences and memories for the children. A massive THANK YOU to the Friends for an amazing few weeks of support and fundraising - it’s hard to believe that you were only recently formed. We are very grateful for all that you do. We also must say how much we appreciate the efforts and commitment of Miss Simpson. She has gone above and beyond to organise all of the events over the last few weeks. THANK YOU! One more day of festive fun left and then the Christmas break! ... See MoreSee Less

I have attached a photo of comments from Matthew, Event Director, which we received after the event. If you are interested in making this a regular event for your child or even the whole family, we will be sharing details of how to register in the very near future. We wish the Junior Parkrun team good luck and can’t wait to watch the event launch and grow. ...
