Evening Everyone,As you are aware, myself, the Governors, Councillors and lots of YOU, our amazing parents and carers, have been raising concerns to the Road Safety Team regarding the traffic on Durham Road. I am delighted to inform you that when I requested an update this morning, the following good news was received:- A School Crossing Patrol has been agreed. An advert will be placed by Durham County Council shortly and I was share this via our social media platform. I would be grateful if parents/carers would assist us by sharing this so that we get someone in place as soon as possible. - New road markings will be installed. This has been delayed due to the bad weather but is a top priority. Once these markings are in place, the Traffic Enforcement team will ensure they are adhered to. - Advisory 20pm speed limit signage and flashing units agreed. This will alert road users to their own speed - they will be installed and commissioned once they have arrived. I am sure that you will agree this is a step in the right direction and will help to keep our children safe which has been the top priority throughout this. Thank you for your support with this. It is very much appreciated. Miss Bowden ... See MoreSee Less

🌟SPRINGMOOR STARS 🌟 It’s back! A new name but the same aim - to celebrate our amazing children! We always love to hear what the children have been up to outside of school and celebrate their achievementsFirst up is Maison. During the Summer break, Maison completed his Waterbabies journey and graduated from the programme. He started swimming when he was 3 months old and now, at the age of 5, is a confident swimmer and loves the water. Well done Maison - we are very proud of you! Next, we are celebrating Isaac’s achievements. Isaac is nearing the end of his parkrun alphabet tour, his goal is to complete 25 parkruns in 25 weeks, each one starting with a different letter. After a trip to Glasgow last weekend, Isaac will be completing week #22 this weekend and will hope to finish his tour on the 12th October in Jubilee Park. This will make Isaac the youngest ever person to complete the parkrun alphabet in that timescale. What amazing effort and determination to succeed! Well done Isaac.
