Autism Awareness Week

This week has been Autism Awareness Week and the aim of the week is to raise awareness of the condition, Autism. Schools across the country take part in order to raise awareness of autism and encourage inclusion and acceptance of children with autism. At Ox Close, all children have taken part in lessons and discussions about autism over the week. It has been great for staff and pupils to learn more about autism and how it affects those among them who have the condition, in order to know how to better help those with autism to integrate and cope better with the communication, social and also academic demands of school.
